Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support.
English Language Proficiency
International students must demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (Academic or General) or equivalent through one of the following:
- IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or Cambridge English test results
- Completion of a Certificate IV or higher qualification delivered in English in Australia
- Completion of at least five (5) years of secondary education taught in English
- Other evidence as approved by ICQA’s English Language Proficiency Assessment
Pre-Training Review
All applicants will complete a Pre-Training Review to:
- Assess language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills
- Identify any additional support needs
- Determine suitability for the program
- Explore Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) opportunities
Physical Capacity
Applicants should have the physical capacity to:
- Perform practical care activities, including manual handling
- Complete 120 hours of workplace learning in aged care or disability support settings
- Meet industry work health and safety requirements
International Student Visa Requirements
- Hold a valid Student Visa (Subclass 500) or equivalent
- Maintain at least 80% attendance in accordance with visa conditions
- Achieve satisfactory course progress
- Maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of studies

- Complete an LLN assessment
